Warranty Information for Customers
Product Warranty Terms & Conditions
1. Warranty Coverage
Future Lighting Co PTY LTD Trading As Green Earth Lighting Australia (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) provides a manufacturer’s warranty for all products sold under the Green Earth Lighting brand, subject to the following terms and conditions. This warranty applies to products purchased from Us directly or from an authorised distributor.
2. Warranty Period
We offer a 12 months limited warranty from the date of original purchase (the “Warranty Period”) for all products unless otherwise stated. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
3. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
4. What is Covered
The warranty covers:
• Faults due to defects in manufacturing or materials.
• Failure to function as designed under normal use conditions.
Important: All lighting products must be installed by a licensed electrician. Any product that is improperly installed by an unlicensed individual will void the warranty.
5. What is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
• Normal wear and tear.
• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, abuse, or improper installation.
• Modifications or repairs not conducted by Us or an authorised agent.
• Damage caused by electrical surges or improper power supply.
• Failure to follow the product care instructions provided.
• Products used in commercial environments unless expressly stated as suitable for such use.
6. Warranty Claims Process
To make a warranty claim, you must:
1. Contact our customer service team at sales@greenearth.net.au within the Warranty Period.
2. Provide proof of purchase (e.g., a receipt, invoice) and a description of the fault.
3. If requested, return the faulty product to Us at our Melbourne location.
You are responsible for any shipping or handling costs incurred in returning the product. We will assess the returned product and, at Our discretion, either repair or replace it. If a replacement product is unavailable, We may offer a substitute product or a refund of the purchase price.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Our liability for any product that is defective is limited to the remedies stated in this warranty. We are not liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages (including loss of profits) arising from the use of the product, even if We were advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Exclusion of Implied Warranties
To the extent permitted by law, all warranties, conditions, and other terms implied by statute or common law are excluded from this warranty.
9. Transfer of Warranty
This warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the product.
10. Governing Law
This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.
